Well, we’re just about done here. Graduation was last night and went fairly well (except for the booing during the band’s performance). Seniors, don’t forget to turn in folders, tuxedos, and dresses before you head out into the great unknown. The 7th and 8th grade “Informance” is tonight at 6:00 pm. Last chance for extra credit before I have to finish my grades. To all my students, you did an excellent job this year. You can be very proud of what you all were able to do. Have a terrific summer!
Don’t forget, seniors that we have two rehearsals left before graduation. If you didn’t make Friday’s rehearsal, you HAVE to be at both tomorrow and Tuesday’s rehearsals. Also don’t forget that we’ll rehearse on Wednesday after graduation rehearsal. I’ll see you at 11:30 am.
Well, this is it. The old blog has been a bit dormant this year. Many problems under the hood. I’ll be overhauling it this summer and see if it doesn’t work a little better next year. However, here are the upcoming dates until the end! I’ll update this post if any more come in. It’s been a good year. I’m going to miss my seniors!

State Solo & Ensemble will take place tomorrow, March 31st at The Flint Institute of Music. The entire schedule is listed below. Your warm-up time is 12 minutes before your performance time. Please be at the FIM (Directions Here) at least a half hour before your warm-up time. It is your responsibility to check in so the officials know you are on site. In addition, those of you taking solos/duets must pay for your accompanist no later than Tuesday. If you haven’t payed, you don’t perform. Medals are $4 this year instead of $3. Bring money for that as well as most, if not all of you, will medal. Our Choir Boosters will be on site to provide assistance throughout the day. Any questions? Email me! Tonight, Ms. Jesse Delay will be performing her senior recital at the University of Michigan-Flint in room 164 of the David M. French Hall. The recital starts at 6:00 p.m. and refreshments will be served after the program. Extra Credit will be offered to any Swartz Creek Choir student. I (or Ms. Delay) will sign programs after the performance that you can turn in to me tomorrow (I just want to enjoy the concert without thinking about school). Here’s the link for the directions. Well, it certainly is gorgeous outside. It also makes for a quandry as for tonight’s performance. I’d like it if you all could send me an email at jleuck (at) swcrk (dot) org to let me know if you’re able to come tonight or not. Please check with your parents as they will certainly have an opinion about you venturing out into the snow. If we do so tonight, let’s go with informals as it will be messy even if they manage to clear the roads. Check back for final word.
